 Job Title:  Account Executive

Department:  Tickets

Reports to:  Sr. Director – Ticket Sales

Date:  October 2017

Position Summary:  Individual will actively prospect and sell season tickets, mini plans and all group/hospitality packages for the Lancaster JetHawks

 

Essential Functions: 

1.           The desire and work ethic to succeed in Ticket Sales for the Lancaster JetHawks

2.           Sell new season tickets, mini plans and group ticket packages through cold-calls and face to face meetings

3.           Focused sales effort on selling directly to local businesses

4.           Prospect new customers and qualify leads 

5.           Fulfill and maintain an assigned standard in personal sales efforts. 

6.           Provide superior customer service to new and existing accounts.

7.           Serve as an integral part of the staff on Gameday’s assisting in multiple areas of the operation

8.           Staff ticket sales tables at outside events as needed

9.           Develop relationships with current clients for referral leads. 

10.        Use creativity to develop new ways to boost the attendance of the team.

11.        Responsible for all paperwork that is attributed to assigned clients.

12.        Completion of daily and weekly sales effort reports. 

13.        Liaison to ticket holders. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1.           College degree (or equivalent work experience)

2.           2 years of sales experience within minor league baseball preferred

3.           Experience and a desire to excel in sales. 

4.           Ability to work with aggressive sales goals and expectations in a fast-paced environment. 

5.           Proficient in Microsoft Office and associated products.

6.           Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework.

7.           Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.

8.           Strong planning and organizational skills.

9.           Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.

10.        Ability to maintain a professional business image.

 Job Title:  Director, Ticket Sales

Reports to:  General Manager

Start Date:  October 2017

Overview:  The Lancaster JetHawks, California League Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, located approximately 1 hour from Los Angeles are seeking a Dynamic, Experienced, High Level Executive to add to our growing organization.

Position Summary:  Individual is responsible for leading and managing all Ticket Sales related areas for the Lancaster JetHawks, to include Season Tickets, Mini Plans, Inside Sales and Outside Sales.  Primary focus is on generating revenue via direct ticket sales efforts and building a sales culture conducive of hitting and surpassing the company’s overall sales goals.

 Essential Functions: 

1.           Sales – Responsible for achieving a personal sales goal primarily generated through new sales, while also directly managing additional sales staff.

2.           Be involved in the community setting face to face sales meetings and developing creative ways to engage the business community.

3.           Serve as the leader amongst the sales team providing training, sales motivation and developing creative ideas to increase productivity.

4.           Lead weekly staff sales meetings

5.           Direct the work of the JetHawks sales staff, holding them accountable for daily and yearly sales performance and customer service standards.

6.           Managing the overall team sales effort including new and renewal accounts. 

7.           Fulfill and maintain an assigned standard in personal sales efforts. 

8.           Provide quality customer service.

9.           Provide accurate and timely reports regarding daily and weekly effort and results.

10.        Assist in database management.

11.        Develop relationships with current clients for referral leads.

12.        Responsible for all paperwork that is attributed to clients.

 

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1.           Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years of related experience in Minor League Baseball sales (or equivalent industry)

2.           Extensive experience in Sports Ticket Sales and managing a sales staff 

3.           Proven track record of hitting and exceeding yearly sales goals (both individual and personal)

4.           Proficient in Microsoft Office products

5.           Knowledge of management and supervisory skills.

6.           Ability to initiate, lead, plan and direct the work of a department.

7.           Ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff.

8.           Ability to interview, train, and orient staff.

9.           Skill in resolving problems with clients and with staff.

10.        Ability to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework.

11.        Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.

12.        Strong planning and organizational skills.

13.        Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.

14.        Ability to maintain a professional business image.

15.        Desire to work long hours when needed to achieve results.
