Communications/Public Relations: Community Relations
Community Relations Manager - Stockton Ports Baseball Club (Stockton, CA)

Community Relations: Lead and develop all aspects of the Ports community relations departments, in particular the Ports charitable arm the “Stockton Ports Anchor Fund.” This includes a direct role in planning and implementing such programs as the annual Hot Stove Banquet, Fish with a Port, Manager’s Luncheons, Baseball by the Books school reading program, academic all-star program, library reading program, Ports youth baseball camp, clinics, mascot/player appearances, and all other programs as they arise. Manage the team’s Kids Club and Silver Sluggers Club. Schedule and coordinate National Anthem performers. Other duties include, but are not limited to, facilitating donation requests, distribution of pocket schedules, and developing programs geared towards creating community awareness for the Stockton Ports. Producing an end of the year Community Relations Report to be distributed to the media and community stakeholders.

Sales Responsibilities: Responsible for prospecting new customers and qualifying leads provided in the group ticket sales area. Fulfill and maintain an assigned, traceable minimum standard in personal sales effort. Provide quality, professional customer service to new and existing accounts. Database management. Staff ticket sales tables at outside events. Cultivate relationships with current clients for referral leads. Be creative in developing new ways to boost the attendance of the team.

Game Day Duties: Integral part of the on-field crew. Active role in all areas of the team’s entertainment program, including encouraging fan involvement, acting as a liaison to Ports fans, securing participants for on-field contests, assisting with the execution of all pre-, post- and in-game events/promotions, and all other duties as they arise. Other duties as necessary.

BACKGROUND:
Successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with design layout. Individual must have strong planning and organizational skills. Individual must be energetic, enthusiastic and demonstrate an initiative in completing all tasks at hand. Individual must be able to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Extended hours of work between the months of March to September. Candidate must have the ability to handle stress in a fast paced environment.

COMPENSATION:
Salary based on experience. Commission and bonus program based on direct sales efforts. 401k with employer match. 80/20 standard organizational health insurance coverage. Monthly auto allowance.
